LEARN WITH RPGM

RP Global Missions’ mandate is to see Reformed Presbyterian churches planted abroad, especially in places where there is little or no church-planting work being done already. But we can’t do this work without laborers who are trained and have the appropriate experience to both go and be effective senders. In order to meet this need, RPGM staff have developed a path to long-term service and support we like to call the RPGM Funnel.

The training part of the funnel includes three segments: RPGM Explore, Missionary Cross Training, and ARROW. Below is a brief introduction to these three training segments.

RPGM EXPLORE

RPGM Explore is a course and a community of believers searching the scriptures, examining the Great Commission at work in the world, and learning about many ways to become involved. This course will help you develop a vision for the nations and shape you into a Global Christian with the tools and ideas to leverage your resources and gifts for that vision.

God’s glory and the Great Commission, together with the dire need to reach those who are unreached with the gospel, all form a calling to all Christians to be involved in taking the gospel to the ends of the Earth, including our neighbors.

MISSIONARY CROSS TRAINING

Do you have an interest in pursuing cross-cultural ministry at home and abroad?  We have the learning community for you!

While our Explore course gives you a vision for the nations and shapes you into a Global Christian, our Missionary Cross Training equips you with cross-cultural service.

Missionary Cross Training (MCT) is our core curriculum for our training communities and cohorts. The curriculum is Christ-centered, Comprehensive, and Cross-cultural. Centered on a life in Christ, students in MCT are equipped in the theological, team, missional and cultural dynamics of cross-cultural ministry.

Here are our various communities and cohorts using Missionary Cross Training :

NeXt Steps

If you are considering serving overseas in the coming years, the NeXt Steps community keeps the engine burning for Christ and the nations on the runway to be launched into your mission field.

Ambassadors

If you are not looking to serve overseas at this time but want to serve the nations in your midst, you can be part of the Ambassadors for Christ community where you are. In a network of Ambassador communities in North America we intentionally encourage one another in reaching out to international students, immigrants, and refugees neighbors.

Intensives

Those who are preparing to serve on a mission field often find themselves needing to complete the Missionary Cross Training curriculum. They will be placed in a cohort for encouragement and accountability with the oversight and teaching of a trainer.

ARROW

Men and women who are at the missionary candidate or pre-candidate stage are typically invited to join our ARROW group. This is a discussion-style monthly gathering over Zoom during which participants explore a variety of topics they are thinking about as they prepare to be launched out into the harvest fields abroad. The discussions are led by a small group of facilitators, all of whom are former long-term missionaries.
